Blue Ribbon Summer Festival will be sponsoring the inaugural THJA Equitation Program Clinic & College Scouting.
 
Monday, June 23rd
THJA Equitation Program Clinic & College Scouting
Heart O'Texas, Dodge Arena.
 
We will have Richard Wilkinson & Andrea Throckmorton conducting the 2008 clinic. Athletes between the ages 14-17 will earn points throughout the year & the top 10 will qualify for the clinic next year. THJA will issue $5,000 total in donations to the college of their choice based on the top 3 placings. This program is open for additional sponsorship & donations as well.
 
We will look forward to this program growing & becoming a successful outlet for young athletes to be more involved in Equitation in our area. The number of elite athletes across the country that have joined a college with Equestrian at both the NCAA & IHSA levels is staggering. NCAA & IHSA colleges are excellent opportunities for these athletes to get a great education & not have to give up riding to obtain a college degree of their choice.
 
Athletes must submit their interest in participating in the Clinic to Show Management by June 20th. We will have Flat Tests prepared for the athletes at the show. Send your athletes name, who they ride with & all questions.

We will also conduct a NCAA forum, with Ashley Schaeffer speaking, during the Blue Ribbon Summer Festival-Week 2. This will be open to everyone that has an interest in supporting the sport, not just athletes & trainers.
